“As Christians we often talk about ‘spiritual growth,’ but for many it’s a concept that remains elusive. With Unstuck, Michael Ross and Arnie Cole offer a blueprint for genuine growth in grace, grounded in the life-changing power of Scripture.”
Jim Daly, President –Focus on the Family”- Excerpt From Back Cover

Stuck, as a church leader it can be easy to become stuck. It can become easy to push aside my own spiritual life as a try to help others maintain theirs. After a while of pushing aside my own needs I become, well stuck.

The first chapter in the book starts off with a verse from John’s Gospel:

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” – John 10:10

I was leery in reading this book, as I thought this is going to take time and it’s going to take work. I was correct in that. The Author’s don’t offering a get your faith revived quick fix. Instead they offer to help guide you, but you are in control over the plan.

I appreciate that the Author’s put their own stories within the book in the beginning chapter, they offer a short paragraph introduction themselves and their struggles. Unstuck  is about spiritual growth and getting the life that matters most.

This was a great book to read on my own, but I feel that it would also be a good book to do as a spirituality group through a church or just through friends. The format of the book would work either alone or as part of a group.

The author’s have broken the book into parts. For each part there is a breakdown of what you should have accomplished by the end of the part, and at various points within each part there are questions and activities challenging the reader to go further and to begin to move forward.

This is a book which attempts to help the reader to move forward at their own pace, so that they will eventually become unstuck and rekindle their faith and relationship with God.
